We offer beading parties in the South Florida area for children ages 5 and up catered to your needs.  We also offer classes for the beginner, intermediate and experienced beaders as well as offer fundraising items such as bookmarks, cell phone charms, lanyards, earrings, bracelets, etc. for Cheerleaders, schools and book clubs.  

I started beading two years ago with my daughter.  It ended up that I enjoyed beading more than she did.   Since then, while I have taken a couple of classes, I found that I learned quicker through tutorials, magazines and books. 

My favorite technique is weaving.  The simplicity and the beauty are impressive.  The picture of the pink quartz bracelet below shows a simple weave embellished with pink quartz chips while the bracelet to its right is a Kumihimo using dyed mother of pearl, Swarovski pearls, jasper chips and seed beads. 

My favorite technique is Kumihimo, a Japanese braiding technique made of cord used by the Samurai to decorate their armor and their horses.  This same technique is used now as sashes for kimonos.  Our children today call them "friendship bracelets" however they still do it the old fashioned way which the Japanese used to call finger looped braiding or at least that's what my daughter says.  I quickly learned that I loved this technique and have made numerous bracelets and found that the possibilities and creations are endless.  The picture below and to the right I call my Trick or Treat Kumi because its colors remind me of Halloween.
