Charity: Step Up For Cancer

Each contestant will purchase a kit which will contain anything from beads to findings to crystals.  Cycle 3's kit incudes hand carved bone beads from Indonesia, Coral and Aventurine.  You will create your own design and must use the focal piece.  The kit is only a starting point and therefore, you must incorporate your own materials to your creations.  In this kit, the focal pieces is a Copper Maple Leaf Pendant.  In each kit there may also be a "surprise" not pictured in the kit above however, you will not know until you get your kit whether there will be one or not.  The "surprise" is something from my large stash of beads or an additional item I purchased which must be incorporated in your design.  It may be something as simple as a clasp to a baggie full of seed beads.  There are no limits to what you make, so be creative.  Remember, this is not only for weavers.

Kits will start shipping on October 18, 2010.  All entries MUST be received by November 30, 2010.  With the exception of international participants who will receive their kits via priority mail, all kits will be overnited via UPS on the shipping date to ensure that no kits are lost.  You are allowed to submit as many entries as you like however, you will need to purchase a kit for each submission. 

The contest will run 6 weeks with winners being announced approximately one to two weeks after their submissions.  Please note that any entry received after the deadline date will not be eligible for the competition but will be showcased in our Gallery.  Our sponsors have selected prize packages that are sure to please even the most experienced of beaders.  These prizes will be shown later on in the competition.
